Burgeson: “It’s not me,” on Bomb Threat Charges
The Sturgeon Lake woman accused of making bomb threats to the Willow River School District appeared in Pine County Court, Friday. Lorinda Joyce Burgeson, 53, faces four counts of Terroristic Threats. Conditional Bond is set at $300. Burgeson is not to use alcohol, drugs, or any other types of mood-altering substances. She is also to have no contact with the Willow River School or any of its employees. Unconditional bond is set at $1,000.
Two of the charges carry a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine. The others carry a maximum penalty of three years behind bars and/or a $3,000 fine.
Burgeson has no prior criminal history. She said in court, “I understand [the charges] are very serious. It’s something I would never ever, ever, ever do. Its not me.”
She is due back in court on January 30th at 9 a.m.
