According to the criminal complaint, the individuals went home of Michael Hughes, 31, and Thauwald and Hughes began arguing over money Hughes allegedly owed to Thauwald for the sale of a 1994 Buick Regal.
A female who shares the residence with Hughes says she heard the victim yell that she had a gun. The complaint states the female witness heard three shots, and after the third, Hughes yelled “She hit me.”
Pine County Sheriff’s obtained a search warrant for the home of Connie Kitterman and Jeffery Thauwald. When they arrived, police found all three suspects in the home as well as a .25 caliber semi-automatic pistol and .22 caliber rounds. Authorities found two spent .22 shell casings in Thauwald’s truck. .22 caliber rounds were found in the driveway of Hughes’ home.
As of Monday, Hughes was in the intensive care unit, according to Pine County Chief Deputy Steve Ovick.

Connie Kitterman is an evil person. She has destroyed her family. I pray for her daughter and her mother. They didn’t deserve any of this. I know her quite well and this is not the only people that she has devastated. What goes around comes around Kitterman. This is your karma. Own it.
