Pine County authorities arrested three people Saturday for attempted homicide. Danny Albert Kitterman, 43, of Mora and Connie Lyn Kitterman, 44, and Jeffery Louis Thauwald, 44, both of Brook Park are in custody for shooting Michael James Hughes, 31, in the chest at a residence on Rice Road in Brook Park. Investigators believe the incident stems from a late car payment.

Pine County Chief Deputy Steve Ovick says that Hughes was transported to a hospital in Duluth. Ovick says he was informed that Hughes is in the intensive care unit, but is expected to survive.

Police were informed of the three suspects by another person in the residence at the time of the shooting.

All three remain in the Pine County Jail. Ovick tells Red Rock Radio that they are due in court by Noon on Tuesday. The suspects face First Degree Attempted Homicide charges.

I think PC needs to get the facts straight before publishing and announcing news. Mike was not shot in the chest but indeed the back. Just below his shoulder blade to be exact. Second that women should get much more than assault charges if being shot in the back isn’t enough evidence to show her intent maybe the fact that she unload 5..yes 5 shots that night. 2 in the air and 3 @ Mike. 2 missing but hitting the house. One @ chest level and one just above his head and the third hitting him in the back. Its obvious to me and eveyone one else that there was more than just intend. She was trying to kill him. I hope all three get what’s coming to them. I wish them all well as they rot in hell!
