Burnett Co. Sheriff: School “Exceptional” Handling Threat

Burnett County Sheriff Dean Roland is praising the Grantsburg administration, students, and faculty for their handling of a bomb threat Friday, December 19th at the high school. Roland calls the schools handling of the situations quote “exceptional.” The school was evacuated Friday afternoon when administration heard of the threat.

No bomb was found in the search. Authorities and school staff have spoken with the child who allegedly made comments of concern. Roland says he does not know if the student will face charges, based on conversations that followed the incident.
