Isanti Deputy Hit By Car While Directing Traffic
Isanti County deputy Chad Meyer, 24, was hit by a car this weekend while directing traffic on Highway 95 at Julliard Street.
The driver of the car was Harris resident Elizabeth Richards, 79. Neither Meyer nor Richards were seriously injured. Meyer was taken to the North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale for non-life threatning injuries. Richards was taken to Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming and was treated and released.
Dispatch with the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office tells Red Rock Radio that Meyer is doing well. The accident happened Saturday just after 5 p.m.

Deputy Meyer’s injurys were serious. A broken leg as well as other injuries. He lucky to be alive. Thank God for the police!
