Help WCMP/WXCX and Pine County raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. WCMP/WXCX’s News and Sports Director Sam Klemet is participating in a “Lock-Up” for MDA on December 18th at the North West Company Fur Post in Pine City. Click Here to Donate.

The goal is to raise $1,600 to send two kids to MDA summer camp. Your commitment helps families in Pine City, Hinckley, Willow River, Sandstone, and surrounding communities.

MDA is a voluntary health agency working to defeat more than 40 neuromuscular diseases that affect hundreds of thousands of Americans. The most well-known is ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The Northland Chapter of the MDA serves over 400 families in North Central and North East Minnesota and North West Wisconsin, providing patients with clinic visits, wheelchair assistance, braces, support groups and a summer camp program, all of which are provided at no cost to the families and funded almost entirely by individual private contributors. MDA is making landmark achievements in genetic research for cures and treatments for these devastating neuromuscular diseases.
