A Bloomington woman died Saturday in a two vehicle accident in northern Pine County.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports Wendy Ninh, 60, was the passenger in a vehicle that crossed into the center line and went into the median. The vehicle then struck a culvert, rolled over and was struck headon by a second vehicle, a 1996 Geo Prizm. Ninh was transported to Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake, but was unable to survive.

Her husband, Cuong Do, 59, was the driver of the vehicle. He suffered non-life threatening injuries. The two people in the Geo Prizm were injured, but the State Patrol says their injuries are non-life threatning.

The Pine County Sheriff’s Office and the Moose Lake Police Department responded to the scene. The accident occurred just after 4:15 p.m. at I-35 southbound near mile marker 212 and the roads were classified as icy at the time of the crash.
