2nd Annual Sensational Seminar

Trailview School is Mora hosted the second annual Sensational Seminar Conference on Saturday.

Parents, teachers, and other adults in the community were taught techniques to build literacy skills in young students.

Deb Colling is one of the coordinators of the seminar. She insists that for children to express who they truly are, they need to have to reading and writing tools

A group of educators spoke on the theme of “Raising a Reader by Building Language Together” Colling says while the increase use of the internet can serve as a positive, she adds that it is taking away from traditional reading, which in turn is hurting literacy

Colling says there are plans in place to hold the seminar for a third year.
