[Audio/Video] Pine County Recount Complete: Franken Gains 5, Coleman Loses 1
The recount is complete in Pine County, and those with DFL Candidate Al Franken’s campaign are smiling.
According to numbers from the county auditors office, Al Franken gained five votes and Republican Incumbent Candidate Norm Coleman lost one vote in the recount.

Coleman – 5681
Other – 2767
Nov. 4th Results:
Franken – 6009
Coleman – 5682
Area residents hand counted ballots from 10 precincts Thursday morning, the second day the county held the recount at the Pine County Courthouse in Pine City.
Mark Nisley served as the team leader for Norm Coleman in Pine County. He says he think the county did a commendable job in the recount process.

Nisley says the Franken camp is sending one ballot to the canvassing board for review. Four ballots total were sent from Wednesday’s recount. Statewide, 221 votes were sent to the board. Nisley says fatigue played a factor in the recount, but says having over the course of two days meant fresh counters for Pine County.

Isanti County started their recount Thursday morning and Kanabec County will hold their recount, Friday.
