A 37-year-old father of five from Osceola is facing possession of child pornography charges.

Jason Pape was charged late last week for owning three computer hard drives and a thumb drive that contained images of minors involved in sexual conduct.

Erik Peterson, U.S. Attorney for Western Wisconsin, issued a press releasing which states that Pape faces up to 10 years in federal prison if convicted.

The Burnett County Sentinel Reports that Pape ran for Osceola Joint Municipal Court judge last spring, and his father, Allen F. Pape, is the municipal judge in New Richmond.

The charges were brought against Pape as part of Project Safe Childhood.
