[Audio] Dale Pleads Guilty for February Snowmobile Crash
Jeffrey Paul Dale, 47, pleaded guilty, Monday, to charges related to a February snowmobile accident that resulted in the amputation of the feet of his girlfriend, Wendy Koffler of Brook Park.
Dale pleaded guilty to one count of Criminal Vehicular Operation and an amended count of careless driving. Dale admitted in court that he was driving the snowmobile at “excessive” speeds.
Dale had been drinking at the time of the February 16th crash. He blew a .08 two hours after the crash. He did not contest the blood alcohol results. In Minnesota, .08 is legally intoxicated.
Koffler’s sister Tammy Fredrickson was in court Monday. She says while she is happy the process is coming to an end, she is disappointed that Dale won’t be getting the amount of jail time she believes he deserves.
