Fire Engulfs North Branch Home

A North Branch home suffered what the police department describes as “extensive” smoke and water damage after a fire Thursday night.

North Branch Police and Fire Departments responded to the fire at the home at 6337 377th Street. Upon arrival, visisble flames engulfed the rear of the home. Two people were sleeping in the home at the time of fire, but both escaped without injury.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation. The Stacy-Lent and Harris Fire Departments assisted in the incident.
