Monday, October 27th, 2008 at 5:56 am

Tickets are now on sale for Pine City High School’s highly anticipated presentation of “A Christmas Carol.” The Charles Dickens holiday classic promises to be excellent family entertainment and is being presented one weekend only, November 20-23.

The two-act play features the original song “God Bless Us, Every One,” as well as several familiar carols including “What Child is This,” “Deck the Halls,” and “Coventry Carol.” This version is a faithful adaptation written by John Jakes that has won praise for its unique inclusion of Charles Dickens as a character in the play. The local production features a cast of 35 and a crew of nearly 20 students.

Advanced tickets are strongly recommended and are available at Sauser’s Hardware, Nelson’s Market-Pine City, Cabin Coffees, or by calling Pine City Community Education at 629-4115. Tickets purchased in advance are only $4 for adults and $3 for students. Tickets at the door are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis and cost $5 for adults and $4 for students.

Performances are November 20, 21, and 22 at 7:30pm, with matinees on November 22 and 23 at 2:30pm in the Pine City Elementary Auditorium.
