Live a Night in a Cardboard Box

Friday, October 24th, 2008 at 6:45 am

Friday, in Cambridge, there will be over 100 people living in cardboard boxes. New Pathways is hosting a fundraising event at the Isanti County Fairgrounds. Area residents will spend the night in boxes to help raise money for families in the Cambridge Shelter.

Mary Westlund is the Program Manager and Family Educator at New Pathways. She is also one of the coordinators for tonight’s event. This is the first time New Pathways has done an event like “Spend the night in a cardboard box.” Westlund says it will be an opening experience that will combine fun and compassion.
