October is National Community Planning Month. On Wednesday, Pine City held an open house in city hall to celebrate. Area residents spoke with city staff on how they can get more involved with Pine City, and also what they would like to see happen in their neighborhood. Nathan Johnson is the Pine City planner. He says planning is truly a community-wide effort

Recently a group of business owners, city staff, and Pine City residents met to discuss developing the downtown area. Johnson encourages all Pine Citians to get involved.

The next meeting of the downtown leadership group is Thursday, Oct. 30, at 8:00 A.M. at Sprouts Hometown Market & Gifts.
