Accused Teens Make Initial Appearances in Pine County Court

The last time Michael Schouveller, 18, appeared in Pine County Court he was shackled and wearing blue prison garments. On Friday, he was wearing a blue shirt and tie. Schouveller made his initial appearance in court. He faces 11 charges for a series of burglaries of area bars. Judge James Dehn set an omnibus hearing for November 20th at 9 a.m. Schouveller is the only one of four teens accused in the burglaries that posted bond.
The other three teens remain in Pine County Jail, including Kaitlyn Nosbush, 18. She also made her initial appearence, Friday. A pre-trial is scheduled for October 30th at 9 a.m.
Spencer Knutson, 18, did not appear in court today. Court records indicate his lawyer was unavailable, and his initial appearance is rescheduled for October 30th.
Derek Marihart, 19, made his initial appearance in Pine County Court, Wednesday. He faces nine charges in a series of burglaries of four area bars. Marihart remains in the Pine County Jail. Conditional bond is set at $1,000. Release conditions remain the same for Marihart. They include not using drugs or alcohol and no contact with the alleged victims or co-defendents.
