Two Injured in Kanabec County Crash

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a single vehicle crash in Kanabec County, Wednesday afternoon, that left two people injured. Robert Langebrunner, 77, and his wife, Janice Langebrunner, 72, from Cloquet were hurt while trying to avoid hitting a deer on Highway 23 near mile post 247.

The report from the State Patrol says that Robert Langebrunner was the driver of the 2003 Dodge Caravan, he swerved to avoid hitting a deer which ran into the road way. While trying to avoid hitting the deer, Langebrunner ran off the road and struck a field approach. The vehicle came to rest in the East Bound ditch.

Robert Langebrunner was taken to the Kanabec Hospital with lower back and chest pain, as well as a cut to his left hand. His wife, Janice was taken to Kanabec Hospital for chest pains. Both airbags did deploy in the accident.
