People Helping People in Pine County

Families and people of all ages joined public, private, and non-profit agencies at the at the Pine County Community Connect program, Wednesday, at the Hinckley American Legion/VFW. Area residents and agency representatives discussed subjects ranging from voter registration to mortgage counseling. Community Connect also gave away over 400 coats, nearly 40 blankets and countless hats and gloves to those in need. Pine County Community Connect, Co-Coordinator, Paula Hoffman says, unfortunately she is seeing an increase in families asking for help

This is the third year for Pine County Community Connect, and Hoffman says no one is turned away. There are plans to hold Community Connect for a fourth year.
