Police say that Minneapolis resident Steven Richard Johnson, 56, was leaving the home of a relative in Mora when he lost control of his 1996 Jeep Cherokee, which then flipped on its side on Polk St. Northeast, south of County Road Three.

An autopsy found that Johnson suffered multiply blunt force injuries after he was ejected from the Jeep. Police determined that Johnson was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

Johnson was found on the ground, feet from his vehicle on Sunday, over 18 hour after he left the home of his relative. No other passengers were in the vehicle except for two brown labs. Neither were harmed. The toxicology report is still pending and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
