Pine City Homecoming Football and BBQ
Pine City capped off their week long Homecoming Week, with a great night Friday that included a 34-15 win over Aitkin in football. The Dragons fell behind 7-0 early, but a 34-0 run helped Pine City improve to 5-1 on the year. The man of the night, Senior RB/WR, Haakon Hanson. Hanson scored four touchdowns, all on the ground. He now has eight rushing touchdowns this season, and nine total. Quarterback, Wes Fischer also scored on a one yard run in the second quarter.
Pine City went over 300 yards rushing for the fifth straight week, finishing with 362 on the ground and 449 yards of total offense.
The Dragons defense held the Gobblers to just six first downs and only 174 yards of offense.
Pine City Host Crosby-Ironton(4-2) next weekend.
