Stacy’s Pastry Shop Owner Passes Away

The former owner of Stacy’s Pastry Shop in Sandstone passed away on Saturday, September 27th.

Stacy G. Felger passed away at the Villa Health Care Center in Mora at the age of 88.

Felger owned “Stacy’s” for 39 years.

She married her husband, Theodore, on August 31st, 1940 in St. Paul. Ted introduced Stacy to the baking trade as they worked together in St. Paul.

In 1954, Stacy and Ted open Stacy’s Pastry Shop in Sandstone. Stacy and her eldest son Jim operated the shop until it closed in 1990.

Stacy Felger is survived by her sister Rosalie Peterson of St. Paul, stepson Theodore (Arlene) Felger of Brownsville, TX, four sons Jim (Lois), Tom (Deanna), Gary (Pamela), and Ken (Maria), 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services for Stacy Felger will be held on Wednesday, October 1st at 4:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sandstone. Visitation is Tuesday, September 30th from 6-8 p.m. at the Methven Funeral Home, Sandstone and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Interment at Spring Park Cemetery, Sandstone. Arrangements with Methven Funeral Home, Sandstone.
