Heavy Tuesday evening storms left 4,000 East Central Energy customers in the North Branch area without power for about a half hour Tuesday. East Central Energy says the outage occurred because lighting hit a tree which subsequently fell onto a power line. The outage effected residents in Lent, Sunrise, North Branch and Oxford townships, as well as the city of North Branch.
