Nationally-Recognized Ensemble Coming to Pine City
Local residents should mark their calendars for Saturday, November 15, when Boston-based acappella group Ball in the House will perform a special concert in Pine City. Ball in the House is a nationally-recognized ensemble that has performed at Lincoln Center in New York and the Ordway in St. Paul, as well as CBS’s The Early Show and Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game.
The group will be in Pine City for a two-day event that also includes a series of lyceums and workshops with elementary, junior high, and high school students, some of whom will perform alongside Ball in the House at Saturday’s concert.
This special event is sponsored by the Pine Center for the Arts, Pine City’s newest arts organization, which is committed to hosting local arts performances and educational programs. The two-day event is co-sponsored by Pine City Public Schools.
Though tickets to Ball in the House performances typically range from $15 to $30, thanks to the generous support of the East Central Arts Council, tickets to the Pine City performance are only $5 for adults and $3 for students. Advanced tickets will be available soon at several area businesses and through Pine City Community Education.
