A 53-year-old man was hospitalized this weekend after a motor vehicle accident in Isanti County. According to the Isanti County Sheriff’s report, Jeffery Johnson was traveling eastbound on County Road 40 when a deer ran into the roadway. Johnson swerved and went into a ditch on the north side. Johnson’s car went through a barbed wire fence and came to a stop in the pasture. The barbed wire fence hit his head and cut him open. He was transported to the hospital where officials say he received stitches on his forehead. The accident happened Saturday just after midnight.
