Complete Minnesota Twins 2009 Schedule
MINNEAPOLIS – ST PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins, Wednesday, announced the tentative regular season schedule for the 2009 season – the club’s final campaign in the H.H.H. Metrodome as the team prepares to move to Target Field – the new downtown Minneapolis ballpark in 2010.
The Twins will kick off their 49th season in Minnesota on Monday, April 6 with a four-game homestand against the Seattle Mariners (April 6-9). The Twins’ opening road trip features a visit to division rival Chicago White Sox (April 10-12). The Twins return home to the Metrodome to face the Toronto Blue Jays (April 13-16) followed by a weekend series versus the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (April 17-19).
The Twins 2009 home interleague schedule features visits by the Milwaukee Brewers (May 22-24), Pittsburgh Pirates (June 16-18) and Houston Astros (June 19-21). The team’s road interleague schedule includes trips to play the Brewers (June 23-25), the Chicago Cubs (June 12-14) and St. Louis Cardinals (June 26-28).
Other home schedule highlights include a four-game series against the Boston Red Sox (May 25-28) and a visit from the New York Yankees (July 7-9).
The Twins will close out their 28th and final Metrodome season with a three-game series versus the Kansas City Royals (Oct. 2-4).
The Twins will play their American League Central Division rivals 18 games each, including three series at home and three series on the road against Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit and Kansas City.
