Pawlenty Orders Flags at Half-Staff for Sept. 11th

Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty is ordering all U.S and Minnesota state flags on state property fly at half staff on Thursday in observance of September 11th.
Thursday is the 7th anniversary of the attacks that killed 3,000 people in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. In a statement released today, Pawlenty said “We unite to acknowledge that our American way of life endured the attacks of September 11, and we have moved forward from that terrible day with courage and strength to better protect our citizens from terror and to secure the blessings of freedom for more of the world’s people.”
Candlelight vigils and memorial services will be held throughout the state Thursday.
