ECMECC Open House with Alice Seagren

The East Central Educational Cable Cooperative (ECMECC) will host an open house on Thursday, September 25th from 3pm to 6pm in the Braham Area High School community room to celebrate 25 years of technology and distance education services to area students and to honor 21 years of service by Director, Stephan Hallan. Commissioner of Education, Alice Seagren will leadoff a short program beginning at 4pm. The public is invited to attend.

ECMECC began offering distance education courses to six member school districts in 1983 via two-way interactive television (ITV). Today ECMECC continues to offer ITV courses between twelve member school districts and Pine Technical College, coordinates a Chinese teacher exchange program, coordinates a wide-area video and data network for thirteen districts and provides a variety of distance learning and technology related services.

ECMECC member districts include Braham, Cambridge-Isanti, Chisago Lakes, East Central, Hinckley-Finlayson, Milaca, Mora, North Branch, Ogilvie, Pine City, Princeton, Rush City, Pine Technical College and associate member St. Francis.
