Rush City To Discuss Liquor Store Future

Monday, August 25th, 2008 at 11:38 am

The Rush City council will meet Monday evening for their final meeting of the month. One of the items on the agenda is continued discussion on the status of the municipal liquor store. The council has debated for months what to do with the store, because it is struggling to make money. Rush City Mayor Jim Ertz told the council last month that the store has three options, relocating, shutting down, or continuing to limp along at its current location.
The discussion will be part of the new business part of the agenda beginning at 7:15. The council also will hold a public hearing on tax abatements and the fire relief association. The meeting starts at 6:30
