[Audio] Investigation Continues in Ogilvie Couple Murder Suicide Case
Investigators continue to look into the relationship between DeDe Heald and Rory Zitur, the two people killed Tuesday by DeDe’s husband Gary. The Healds are former Ogilvie residents who still own property in the East Central Minnesota city.
Police believe the three were connected through an online swingers club. Sherburn County Sheriffs believe Gary Heald, 59, shot his 56-year-old wife in the Zimmerman home, then went to the city of Buffalo where he shot and killed 47-year-old Zitur. Pine County Sheriff Mark Mansavage says uncovering a case like this can be an involved process.
Hear Sheriff Mansavage’s Comments:
One of the Heald’s sons found his parents in the basement of their Zimmerman home Tuesday afternoon. Sherburne County Patrol Captain Don Starry says the son found a note left by Gary Heald that admits to the murders.
Hear Don Starry:
Gary Heald is a 1967 graduate of Ogilvie High School, and DeDe is a former Kanabec County Public Health employee. Funeral services for the Healds are on Saturday at the Lewis Lake Covenant Church in Ogilvie. They are survived by three children and three grandchildren.
