The investigation continues into the fire that left a 30,000 square foot barn a total loss. The barn at 2049 Homestead Road in Pokegama Township caught fire Friday around 8:30 a.m. The cause of the blaze is not yet known.

Pine City received mutual aid from Brook Park, Hinckley and Rush City fire departments, and Miller says they used 50,000 gallons of water in the effort. The property is owned by LC Development Corportation. A spokesperson with LC tells Red Rock Radio that the barn was sold last year. The monetary damage is not known either, and Miller says now the focus shifts to the cleanup effort

Miller reports that the blaze could be seen as far south as North Branch, but fortunately no one was injured in the Friday fire
