North Branch Woman in Critical Condition after motorcycle-deer crash

A North Branch woman is in critical condition following a weekend motorcycle accident involving a deer.

Sherry Walter, 51, is at the Regions hospital in St. Paul She was the passenger on the 1998 Honda bike driven by Mark Walter, 51. The two were riding the bike northbound on Highway 95 around 8:10 Saturday night when they struck a deer head on. Both were ejected from the vehicle.

Sherry Walter suffered fractured ribs and a spinal injury. Mark Walter suffered only minor injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol and Chisago County Sheriff’s office responded to the call
