Milaca’s Bunger Appointed by Governor
Robert Bunger from Milaca is the newest Board of Directors member for the Minnesota Humanities Center. Bunger and Carinda Horton, from Duluth, were appointed by Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty on Thursday. Both are appointed to fulfill a four-year term that expires January 3, 2011.
Bunger is a consultant and principal founder of HBH Associates and a member of the Center for Rural Policy and Development and the Milaca School Board. Bunger has served on the Milaca City Council and Planning Commission.
The Minnesota Humanities Center is a nonprofit organization affiliated with the National Endowment for the Humanities. The Humanities Center fulfills its mission through humanities-based programs including professional development opportunities. The center has 30 board members. Only six, including Bunger, are appointed by the Governor.
