A Milaca man died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a single vehicle rollover crash earlier in the day.

Sean Johnson, 25, was driving southbound on Highway 69 and went off the left side of the road. According to the report from the Minnesota state patrol, his 1999 ford pickup truck then rolled over striking some trees. Johnson was taken to North Memorial Hospitalized for what were initially listed as non-life threatening injuries. Johnson passed away shortly before 3 p.m.

Early morning rain may have played a factor. The roads were wet at the time of the accident. The Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota state patrol responded to the crash which occurred just before 7:30 a.m.
