Regan Kohler is relatively new to the WCMP airwaves as she’s been making a weekly appearance for about a month now. Kohler is the editor of the local newspaper the Isanti-Chisago County Star, and the purpose for her weekly visit is to preview said paper.
It does look like the Vikings will be getting their new stadium. On Thursday, the Minnesota Senate approved the measure meaning only a few loose ends need to be addressed and the bill needs Gov. Mark Dayton’s signature to become law.

With the democratic recall primary now in the books and the general recall election less than a month away in Wisconsin, people are beginning to consider carefully the wild 16 months since Gov. Scott Walker took office. Many experts are saying the issues that matter most to Wisconsinites may be changing when compared with what they were back at the beginning of the recall process.
On Thursday, at 12:56 a.m., the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle crash on North Williams Road in the Town of Wood River. This area is approximately two miles east of the Village of Grantsburg, Wisconsin. The driver, Tessa M. Leffelman, 18, of Grantsburg, was pronounced dead at the scene by Burnett County Medical Examiner Mike Maloney.
On Wednesday, a big statewide story broke involving allegations that law enforcement was giving illegal drugs to citizens, and then watching them and questioning them after these citizens got high. Officials have since put a state trooper on paid leave, launched a criminal probe into a Hutchinson officer and halted what they say was originally a police training program.A doucmentary film (inside this post) also shows officers from Kanabec County and Chisago County who were involved in the program, though no officers from those counties are currently being named in any investigations.

It will be Barrett vs Walker in the recall election on June 5. Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett had a wide margin of victory in the democratic primary to become the party’s nominee.
