Regan Kohler is the editor of the Isanti-Chisago County Star, and she makes a weekly radio appearance on WCMP to promote the latest edition of the newspaper. She visited again with our Jesse Logan, and discussed some big local stories including a recent break-in at Casey’s Gas Station in Cambridge and some progress being made in contract negotiations in the North Branch School District.

Pine City Seniors Take Over WCMP (Audio Replay)

Thursday night seniors from Pine City High School took over the airwaves on 100.9FM, WCMP.

The seniors played their own music, talked about memories they had from school, and also what they will be doing once they graduate. There were also a few jokes spread out throughout the program.

This afternoon we have another high school broadcast on WCMP AM 1350.

Although playoffs are approaching in both baseball and softball, we’re finishing strong on our regular season schedule. Today, Josh Miggler will be on hand as the Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets will host Becker in a Mississippi 8 Conference matchup. The Bluejackets are currently sitting third in the conference standings with a 6-4 record, while Becker is bringing up the rear at just 2-8 in conference play.
