Winter is just a fading memory, mostly, and the 2010 Hinckley Knights want to confirm the change of seasons as they kick off the 2010 baseball season this Saturday at Brennan Field. The opening pitch is set for 2 pm on May 15th against the Anoka Bucs from the Metro Minny league. Returning veteran Blake Chaffee is slated to start Saturday’s game for the Knights.

Siren High School’s Sarah Howe became the first Dragon in school history to win the WIAA Scholar Athlete Award. She is one of 16 girls and 16 boys who will be recognized at an award ceremony Sunday, May 2 at the Westwood Conference Center in Wausau.

The Minnesota Timberwolves won’t admit it, but they are glad the season is over.
They didn’t have to express it with words, their body language told the story. Faces were long and sighs of frustration were endless in the Wolves locker room following their seaso- ending 103-98 loss to the Pistons.
It’s hard to imagine that any other emotions would be appropriate after cementing themselves as the worst team, at least record-wise, in franchise history.
