Two of the top eight amateur baseball teams in Minnesota in 2008 will be in the field as the Hinckley Knights host their annual tournament this weekend at the Brennan.

The Grantsburg Pirates softball team brought home the state championship beating Laconia 3-0, Saturday, on a game heard on Classic Hits 105.7 WXCX.

Mora Mustangs stomped Glencoe-Silver Lake High School Thursday night.  The game ended with the Mustangs taking the win seven to zero.  The Mustangs play Luverne High School Friday at Noon in the consolation round.  You can hear the game on AM 1350 WCMP

The Mora Mustangs take on Fergus Falls in the state tournament, Thursday. This is the second year the Mustangs have made the trip to St. Cloud, and their fourth tournament appearance in the last nine years. Head Coach Jay Pautzke talks with Adam Van Conant about the season and the expectations of the state tournament.

Over 200 runners competed in the Carlyle Sherstad 5K run, Saturday, in Grantsburg. This is the biggest turnout in the five year history of the race.
