The Braham Bombers are just one game away from capturing their second consecutive section championship. The Bombers dismantled Two Harbors 70-37 Tuesday at the Romano Gymnasium in Duluth.

Pine City Moves Forward with Trail Plans

TwinPortsTrailPine City is moving ahead with plans for a non-motorized hiking and walking trail that could be part of the Twins Cities-to-Twin Ports project. The city agreed during March 3rd’s city council meeting to submit initials plans for how federal money allocated for the project will be used.

$31 million for Hunter Education and Fish and Wildlife Conservation Projects in Minnesota

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar announced that Minnesota will receive $30,978,760 to support hunting, sport fishing, fish and wildlife conservation and education programs across Minnesota. The funds will be made available through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program (WSFR).

MPCA Requests Input on Landfill Expansion Near Mora

Brainerd, Minn. — The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has prepared an Environmental Assessment Worksheet for a proposed expansion of the East Central Solid Waste Commission (ECSWC) Sanitary Landfill near Mora, Minn, and the installation of a generator that will burn landfill gas to generate electricity for the local grid. Citizens are invited to comment on this EAW in writing, until April 19, 2010.

Braham Native to Play in NCAA Tournament

NoahDahlman1Braham native Noah Dahlman scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the Southern Conference tournament final on Monday to help Wofford make its first ever NCAA tournament appearance. Wofford beat Appalachian State 56-51. Dahlman is averaging 17 points-per-game this season.
