Minnesota’s wolf season closed more than a month early this year. A judge has set the bail of 44-year old Jim Crain, who’s been accused of killing his parents in Iron River, WI. Crain’s bail was set at $1 million. A snowmobile driver is dead after a weekend crash in Bemidji. The Bemidji Police Department tells the Associated Press that 23-year-old Seth Ryan of Bemidji died after colliding with a mailbox and several trees. As we reported last week, the Dennis Gerold family suffered a serious house fire on December 22. Their home was destroyed. A fund has been established to help the family get back on their feet. Deposits can be brought to any US Bank branch and deposited into the “Broken Fence Fire Relief Fund.” Anyone with questions can contact the Gerold family directly, or Zion Lutheran Church in Pine City.
