Name Of Sturgeon Lake Man Killed In Lightning Strike Released

As we reported on Wednesday, a Pine County man was killed on Monday night in a lightning strike. We’ve now learned the name of that man. Pine County authorities have confirmed that 53-year old Michael McGee of Sturgeon Lake was the victim.

Deer River Woman Killed In Motorcycle Accident

Deadly Lighting Strike Reported In Pine County

A deadly lightning strike took place on Monday evening in Pine County. In a press release we learned that at approximately 7:35 p.m., Pine County Dispatch received a medical call to an address on Alder Loop in Sturgeon Lake. The victim was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake where he died from his injuries.
