The East Central Eagles girls basketball team began their postseason tonight with a win in Section 5 Class A. The Eagles continued their solid regular season with the 66-52 win over Hill City.
The Eagles currently have a 14-9 record. Hill City finished the year just 9-15.
East Central will now move on to play on Saturday.

The Chisago County Sheriff’s office is again calling on the public’s help in finding a bank robber. A reward for information is also being offered.

Mike Gainor of the Pine City Pioneer had his weekly radio appearance on Thursday and discussed the recent edition of the newspaper with our Jesse Logan. Gainor filled in some blanks on a story where two Pine Citians saved a man’s life, and also told us that the head of Health and Human Services in Pine County has resigned.
