Today at 2pm we had another playoff football game on our airwaves featuring the Bemidji Lumberjacks and the Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets!
The Bemidji Lumberjacks are the third seed in Class 5A-Section 7. They won their opening round game against Duluth Denfeld 40-14. The Lumberjacks had a regular season record of 5-3.
The Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets are 6-2 this season. They are the number two seed in the bracket. Because they had the number two seed, the Bluejackets received a first round bye in the playoffs. If Cambridge-Isanti wins today, they would play in the section championship game on Friday, Nov. 2.
Today’s game will started a little before 2pm on 1350AM, WCMP. Jesse Logan was on the call for the game.

According to the Pine County Sheriff’s Office, at about 1pm on Friday, the Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a single car accident in Pine City. Officials say that a Dodge Caravan was attempting to park at the Pine City Kentucky Fried Chicken when the vehicle jumped the curb and drove through the wall of the building. Friday night on WCMP-FM we had a Class A – Section 5 volleyball playoff game between Barnum and Braham.
It was a Braham-dominated match throughout the night. Braham took care of Barnum in three straight sets, defeating them in scores of 25-15, 25-11, and 25-15. The Lady Bombers of Braham will now advance to the 3rd round of section play.
The Barnum Bombers finished the regular season 4-18. They advanced out of the first round of the playoffs with a 3-1 win over the East Central Eagles. Barnum and Braham recently faced each other on Monday, where Braham won 3-2. Friday night’s game was also a rematch of last year’s opening round of the playoffs, where Barnum beat Braham 3-2 on Braham’s home court.
The Braham Bombers are going into the next round on a roll, winning their last six games. Overall, they are 18-4. Braham is the top seed in the East bracket of Class A – Section 5.

Labor officials say the claims that are backlogged are all in need of manual processing due to an error in the system.
