Isanti Man Shot In Face Outside Of Police Department

A shooting occurred outside of the Isanti Police Department on Saturday afternoon, after officers were notified of a fight in the parking lot outside the building.

Officers came to find a male victim with wounds in the face from a handgun shot.

Homecoming Tailgate, Pine City Hosted Duluth Marshall

Friday was Pine City’s annual Homecoming night as the Dragons hosted Duluth-Marshall for the year’s highly-anticipated game. WCMP AM 1350 was on location with a 6pm Tailgate Pre-Game show. The football action started at 7pm, proving to be a very close game early-on between the two teams. Pine City started the scoring with a 1 yard touchdown run at the Duluth goal-line, as a result of a turnover against the Hilltoppers. The game consisted of tough defensive stops along the way, but the Dragons couldn’t hold on as Duluth-Marshall pulled out a 14:6 win.

Homecoming: Unity @ Webster, 7pm SAM1057

Friday night, the Webster Tigers hosted the Unity Eagles for their annual Homecoming game. From the get-go, it was a back & forth campaign between the two Lakeville North squads, who stayed within 8 points of each other the entire game. The game came down to the final possession, as Webster’s Alex Hopkins recovered a Tiger’s fumble at the goal line with 29 seconds left to make the game 31:33. The Tigers however couldn’t convert on the 2-point play to tie.

Impact Player- Unity’s Kyle Sorenson scored three rushing touchdowns on the night, including one that went for 41 yards.

Webster is now 1-5 after the heartbreaking loss, while Unity improves to 3-3.
