Dayton Orders Bullying Task Force

Siren @ Shell Lake Basketball Double Header

We’re tipping off our high school basketball coverage with a double header tonight in Wisconsin.

Jesse Logan and Nick Sontag will be in Shell lake tonight to call the boys/girls double header between the Siren Dragons and the Shell Lake Lakers! Tip off for the boys game will be at 6pm. The girls game will tip off after the boys game.

Walker Recall Signature Update

Organizers of the effort to recall Republican Gov. Scott Walker from office say they have collected 300,000 signatures, more than half of what is needed to force an election. Burnett County Sheriff’s Report With Dean Roland

Burnett County Sheriff Dean Roland was on again for the Sheriff’s report. This week Sheriff Roland talked extensively about the upcoming slate of events for Christmas in Siren, including big things this weekend.

Roland also gave some advice to drivers who will be navigating winter roads.

Braham Teacher Accused Of Fondling Student

A Braham gym teacher is accused of fondling a teen student and is now facing charges.

Gym teacher Christopher Vavre, 24, is facing two counts of criminal sexual misconduct. Vavra works at Braham High School, and is well known in the community.

Ashland Woman Arrested After Chase, Lit Self On Fire

Charges are being recommended against a woman who allegedly led Ashland police on a chase, then lit herself on fire last week.
