Kanabec Hospital Focuses On Stroke Awareness
About 795,000 Americans will suffer a stroke this year, yet most Americans cannot identify stroke symptoms or risk factors. Many strokes – some studies indicate that up to 80 percent – can be prevented through risk factor management. The month of May marks National Stroke Awareness Month annually and in keeping with this theme, Kanabec Hospital is placing an increased focus on education and awareness about stroke.

Knights Have A Successful Weekend
The Knights faced a much improved Quamba club and were fortunate to come away with a 4-3 victory. Newcomer Blake Karas notched his first mound win for the knights as he allowed only 1 hit over the 7 2/3 innings he worked.

Polk County Sheriff’s Deputies were advised of a gas drive off from the Super America located on U.S. Hwy 8 in St. Croix Falls Township.
