Russell Naber, 50, of Pine City was one of two people killed in a head-on collision, Thursday, in Spooner, WI. Naber’s truck was hit when a car driven by Barry Banks, 66, of Spooner crossed the centerline. Both died as a result of the crash.

Police are searching for a man they say is responsible for the death of a 10-year-old girl from Hinckley. Ti-Heim Darrien Coston, 33, of Bloomington is wanted for a series of charges, including criminal neglect and theft, for his role in starving Lakesha Victor to death. It’s alleged that Coston intentionally falsely claimed $48,715 by fraudulently reporting the number of hours he worked and the types of services he provided Victor while working as a personal care assistant.

The price of the Northern Lights Express- the proposed high speed rail line between Duluth and Minneapolis- may reach as high as $1 billion, according to a report by the Minneapolis Star Tribune. However, Congressman Jim Oberstar, who is a supporter of the project, says there are options to help bring the cost down.

A sixteen year old Dresser girl was killed Friday in a single accident after she was ejected from a vehicle. Alora Breault was the passenger in the 2000 Chevrolet blazer driven by a Eric Johnson, 17, of Waupun who swerved to avoid a collision on US Highway 8 in Balsam Lake Township.

Minneapolis, MN (AHN) – If the Minnesota Vikings were a movie, they’d be a summer blockbuster filled with stars. Brett Favre, Adrian Peterson, Jared Allen, and Kevin and Pat Williams are among the NFL’s best at their respective positions. But, as good as the stars have been, the Vikings 10-1 start is due in large to the players who could win “Best Performance in a Supporting Role.”
