Loading ...Nearly 800 people in Pine City lost power Monday because of an underground dig in, according to East Central Energy. The outage effected most of the downtown area. Power was out for about a half hour, and was restored at 1:12 p.m.
Pine County Deputy Michael William Morrow (left) was killed in 1991 during a traffic stop. The man who murdered Morrow with his flashlight, Scott Lange, is now back behind bars.

Former Pine City mayoral candidate, Terry Neitzel, was arrested Sunday, November 16th and faces two misdemeanors, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.
Kanabec County held its recount for the U.S Senate race Friday at the County Courthouse in Mora. According to numbers from the county auditors office, Monday, Republican Incumbent Norm Coleman, lost eight votes from the November 4th numbers. DFL challenger Al Franken received the same number of votes.
