No one thought the Twins would be battling for the AL Central Division crown during the final week of the season, except maybe the Twins. During the off-season, Minnesota lost its two most heralded players (Torii Hunter and Johan Santana), but nonetheless, remain in the playoff picture with four games to play.

Farm vehicle crashes resulted in five deaths in Minnesota in 2007, which is more than double the amount in 2006. The Minnesota Department of Transportation released the numbers, Wednesday.
