[Audio] Local Voter Registration Numbers

Election day is just five weeks away, November 4th, but there is still time to register to vote. So far, 16, 430 voters are registered in Pine County. That is only 150 less than all registered voters in 2004. With the the election right around the corner, Pine County Auditor, Cathy Clemmer gives some tips for potential voters.

8,278 people are registered to vote in Burnett County. In 2004, 9,364 people voted in the presidential election in the Northwest Wisconsin County.

You are eligible to vote if…

  • will be at least 18-years-old on Election Day
  • are a citizen of the United States
  • will have resided in Minnesota for 20 days immediately preceding Election Day
  • have any felony conviction record discharged, expired, or completed
  • are not under court-ordered guardianship where a court has revoked your voting rights
  • have not been ruled legally incompetent by a court of law (from MN Secretary of State’s Office)
