The Republican National Convention in Saint Paul came to an end Thursday. Senator John McCain addressed a packed Xcel Energy Center. McCain called on Americans to unite, promised an innovative government, and vowed to reverse recent economic trends.
The four day convention in Saint Paul is predicted to bring in roughly $150 million. However, it did come at a price. Over 400 Iraq war protesters were arrested Thursday, bringing the total over 800 since Saturday.
