Loading ...Red Dog Billy’s and Lodge Hotels Coming Together?
Red Dog Billy’s Bar & Grill in Pine City may soon have a new home. Owner Jeff Flaherty spoke to the Pine City Council Wednesday and said that he and the Lodge Hotels are in the process of purchasing 5.3 acres near the McDonald’s in Pine City.
The initial plan is to put both a hotel and restaurant side by side. Flaherty says he believes the move can help attract other business’ to the city.

The hotel will be a 50 room hotel, with an over 300 person banquet hall. It will also have a water park for children. Flaherty says the new Red Dog Billy’s will keep plans to have a bowling alley, but instead of 12 lanes, there will be 14. Down the road he hopes to add a miniature golf course as part of the connected facility. The council plans to give a final vote on the new facilities at a special meeting next week. Flaherty and the Lodge are still working out land details.
If approved next week, the project is expected to take seven to eight months.
